SAC slalom: Aronsson Elfman exploits the error of Swenn Larsson, 4th Della Mea. Kastlunger on the podium

In the first of the two appointments between the tight posts in the South American Cup at Cerro Castor, the Swedes still prevail with a discreet blue debut. Del Campo dominates the men's race with the third badiota.

It is still Sweden, after the giants signed by Sara Hector and Hilma Loevblom, in the South American Cup races on the Argentine snows. At Cerro Castor it's time for slalom and the big favorite, Anna Swenn Larsson, seemed to already have the success in hand after a first heat which ended with more than a second and a half ahead of her compatriots Aronsson Elfman and Saefvenberg. In the second, however, the vice world champion of Are 2019 made a mistake that relegated her up to 16th place, while Hanna Aronsson Elfman, born in 2002 that we already expect at ever higher levels in CdM, obtained the her first success in SAC (the very young Scandinavian had already been 4th and 3rd in giant) ahead of Charlotta Saefvenberg by 66 cents, in turn 1 cent ahead of French Chiara Pogneaux, third in comeback. The Frenchwoman overtook Lara Della Mea in the decisive heat, 4th in the middle of the race as well as at the end with a gap of 9 tenths, in what was the first overseas race for the Italians who arrived in Ushuaia only last weekend. The Tarvisian went behind in the Escane order, a Marta Rossetti from 6th place, then again France with Breche and Direz, while Vera Tschurtschenthaler placed tenth behind Lara Colturi, already in the middle of the "big ones", with Celina Haller finally 13th and Anita Gulli 18th.
