Sofia Goggia "launches" the Armani suits, but what will the FISI do with the Milan court ruling?

The case that exploded last July 20, when Kappa's appeal for the supply of the national teams for the next Olympic four-year was accepted, will still cause discussion: some Azzurri trained and competed in the first part of this new season with the products of the Turin brand, others already with the new material.

We need to clarify and as soon as possible, if we think that the opening of the Alpine Ski World Cup, on 22-23 October in Soelden, is just over a month and a half away and snowboarding and many other disciplines will also begin the new agonistic vintage by return of post. We are talking about the situation linked to the technical clothing of all the Italian national teams of the FISI, after what happened with the sentence of the Court of Milan (7th civil section) which, last July 20, gave reason to BasicItalia, that is the company that owns the Kappa brand, which for years has been the "second skin" of winter sports athletes. To briefly recall the case, the Federation chaired by Flavio Roda signed an agreement with Armani when, at the same time, according to the contract previously signed with Kappa, there was the possibility for the Turin company to equalize the offer to guarantee itself the supply for the following Olympic four-year period, the one that will lead to the Milan Cortina 2026 Games. If at first a favorable opinion was obtained from via Piranesi with respect to the lawsuit brought by Kappa, the appeal has overturned everything, preventing the FISI to “dress” other garments for the seasons from 2022/23 until 2025/26. If in recent days, from Dominik Paris (who posted other photos of his training just yesterday) to the same blue ones present in Ushuaia for the training block on the Argentine snow, the Kappa brand appeared with the same training suits used until last season , just on Saturday evening Sofia Goggia took care of "setting the record straight". “Something different?”, With the three-time winner of the World Cup downhill on the track with the new Armani suit, on a gray base. The same for Dorothea Wierer who competed yesterday in Annecy for the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival, but at the same time the Azzurri had instead competed in the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Ruhpolding with Kappa material, like the combinatists in the Summer Grand Prix. Armani has however produced the entire clothing line, so much so that images circulate with many athletes of the national team with the gray uniform in resting clothes. It remains to be seen whether the FISI will communicate something about it, after having responded immediately, the day after the appeal won by Kappa, defining the reasons that led to that sentence on appeal "erroneous and illegitimate".
