Novakova completes a hat-trick in La Parva, Germany takes everything in the men’s events with Brandis winning the super-G again

The fourth and final day of racing in La Parva, for the South American circuit’s second event of the season following the technical races in Ushuaia in August.

Speed events only, with four downhill races and as many super-Gs (with no Italians at the start, as the men’s Italjet will arrive in the coming hours) for the SAC on the Chilean snow, and Barbora Novakova completed a personal hat-trick in the women’s events: the Czech born in 2002, after winning on Wednesday and Thursday, repeated the feat in the super-G, once again ahead of American Haley Cutler (who had won the first downhill ahead of Novakova), this time beating her by 26 hundredths for her third consecutive runner-up finish.

Matilde Schwencke took third place, the Chilean finishing 7 tenths behind and comfortably ahead of Argentina’s Nicole Begue, once again consistent in fourth, 1.61 seconds back, just ahead of Canadian Fleckenstein, Griffin and the second Czech, Labastova, tied for sixth with the American.

Benno Brandis closed out the second men’s super-G with a great back-to-back victory: the 20-year-old German, who won the junior world title in the discipline in Tarvisio in 2025, completed Germany’s four-race winning streak after Roesle’s two downhill victories. Matthieu Bailet was beaten by just 6 hundredths, with another Frenchman, Adrien Fresquet, third at 0.51 seconds. Then they were all close together, with Isaiah Nelson fourth at 63 hundredths, Gamel Seigneur at 75, followed by Roesle himself, Cater, and a resurgent Jeffrey Read, eighth, ahead of the third and fourth Germans, Luis Vogt and Valentin Jachmann, who finished tenth with a 99-hundredth deficit, tied with Felix Monsen.

The Swede, second yesterday, had to settle for a place in the top ten behind the young Norwegians Tollef Haugen and Simen Sellaeg.
