Friday and Saturday the grand finale of the 40th edition: here is the Italian contingent with the 20 athletes who will represent the blue colors.

The national phase of the 40th edition of “Pinocchio on Ski” ended yesterday at Abetone. A wet finish, which saw the athletes of the male and female categories, Boys and Students, battle it out on dry heats in the slalom that saw Anna Trocker (Seiser Alm) impose themselves at U14 level and Sebastiano Cirrincione (SC Eur) in the same category, as well as Lara Colturi (Golden Team Ceccarelli) and Edoardo Simonelli (Les Arnauds) among the U16 students.
Now is the time to turn our gaze to the 2022 International Finals, which will kick off on Friday 1 April, following today's presentation of the 30 registered national teams. To highlight the adhesion of the delegations of Argentina, Mexico, New Zealand and South Korea, who rarely took part in the event in the past, but who this year are present at Abetone with their best athletes in the Children categories to challenge the other national teams in the competition: Albania, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Holland, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania , San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and Hungary.
Representing the blue colors will be the best 20 athletes (6 athletes cat. Male and female students and 4 boys and girls athletes) of the national competition. They are Alberto Landini, Pietro Antonio Trentin, Tomas De Ambrogio, Edoardo Simonelli, David Castlunger, Edoardo Lallini (male students), Lara Colturi, Giorgia Collomb, Ludovica Righi, Nadine Trocker, Rita Granruaz, Marta Giaretta (female students), Giulio Paolo Cazzaniga, Mattia Valente, Sebastiano Cirrincione, Michele Vivalda (Male boys), Giada D''Antonio, Victoria Klotz, Anna Trocker, Beatrice Mazzoleni (Female boys).
Great absence of the Ukrainian national team: "In the past, Ukrainian friends have never been lacking at the International Phases of Pinocchio on Skis, it is a great regret not to have them here for reasons that have nothing to do with sport", the words of Franco Giachini , head of the organizing committee. During all the days of competitions on the Pistoia mountains, the homage to Ukraine was never lacking: the yellow-blue flags colored the competition parterre and the prize-giving stage to spread a message of peace and witness the support of the '' organization and Abetone in favor of the Ukrainian people.
The competition will officially start on Friday and will end the following day, Saturday 2 April, with the proclamation of the winning national team of the 40th edition of Pinocchio on Ski.
