All the big names in Soelden, waiting for the Azzurri. No onset for Skjoeld: injury to ankle ligaments

The weekend of October 26-27 is approaching and will open the battle for crystal balls.

In Soelden everything is already ready for a few days, with the weather conditions that finally seem favorable after the tribulations of the last two seasons. Since the beginning of the week, many big players are training between the Rettenbach and the ice box alongside the race track, in view of the opening of the World Cup now hosted for two decades in the town of the Oetztal. From Wendy Holdener to Ted Ligety, passing through today's arrivals of Henrik Kristoffersen, Alexis Pinturault and the blues of the giant, including Dominik Paris directly from Val Senales where he trained for a couple of days with the other sprinters, there will be time until Saturday (when the track will be "delivered" to the FIS, a week after the start) to test the conditions on the Austrian glacier, which the Italians will try instead between Thursday and Friday. Who will not be in Soelden instead is Maren Skjoeld, the Norwegian slalomist already seen on several occasions even in giant (albeit without great results): the 26 year old has in fact been injured during training in Saas-Fee, returning an ankle ligament injury which will force her to stop for a few weeks.
