The celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Alpine Ski World Cup being held in Zagreb will have their climax this evening, a day before the completion of half a century of the event.

At 18.15 there will be the extraction of the chest for the slalom tomorrow night's Cup, but especially to 19.45 will be held a competition-exhibition in which eighteen will race between the winners of the absolute crystal ball, seven men and eleven women. The route suitably snowy with 900 cubic meters of snow so the surface is often 50 centimeters, is the way BakaÄeva, the departure is from the roundabout in front of the Cathedral of Zagreb and the arrival is at ManduÅ¡evac fountain, the slope is long 165 meters and is 8 meters wide and 10.5 meters at the start to the finish.
Participants are, in strict alphabetical order, Marc Girardelli, Marcel Hirscher, Jean-Claude Killy, Ivica Kostelić, Karl Schranz, Alberto Tomba and Andreas Wenzel among men, Michaela Dorfmeister, Renate Götschl, Nicole Hosp, Michèle Jacot, Janica Kostelić, Petra Kronberger, Tina Maze, Tamara McKinney, Lise-Marie Morerod, Annemarie Pröll and Pernilla Wiberg. The path will be placed in the first part of the old poles and the second current ones, in addition, each will come with the suit worn at the time of the conquest of the Cup.
Attend the event other large ex-skiers and skiers like Marco Büchel, Hans Enn, Kristian Ghedina, Jure Košir, Bojan Kriaj, Günther Mader, Thomas Sykora, Matja Vrhovnik, Alenka Dovan, Urška Hrovat and Špela Pretnar. Among those who have won the overall Cup will not be present, among others, Piero Gros, Hermann Maier, Ingemar Stenmark, Gustav Thöni and Pirmin Zurbriggen. The event will be broadcast live on Eurosport tonight at 19.45 with commentary by Gianmario Bonzi and Daniela Merighetti.
