In an interview granted to the "Salzburger Nachrichten", the world champion of Sankt Moritz 2003 spoke of "so many falsehoods and a confrontation that is taking an unimaginable direction". The election for the presidency of the OESV next June 19th.

Walchhofer, apparently, also resented Schroecksnadel's position on the various regional associations. "I have great respect for the results that Peter brought to the OESV - explained the former Wunderteam sprinter - He also gave me his blessing for the candidacy, so I am amazed at certain statements".
The Zauchensee giant, where Walchhofer runs a hotel, also spoke of former sports minister Susanne Riess, who is said to come into play as a candidate for ... compromise. “I have had contact with her several times and I consider her a competent and experienced person. Given the current situation, it might be a good option to have another such application. At the same time, I certainly have no intention of retiring from this race ”.
