"I am very disappointed at not being called up for the World Cup giant, after the forfeit of Luca De Aliprandini. I thought that my experience in a single race could have been a card to play to the color blue. Nothing personal against Simon, which indeed is a young and promising that I think has a bright future ahead. When I was not summoned before the World Cup I had accepted serenely because I was aware that my season was more than shadows of light, indeed I continued working out every day in Livigno because I have confidence in myself and in my means. This additional exclusion though it hurts me because it makes me think that you would not believe in me and in my ability. Now think to finish the season in the best way, even if my morale is genuinely very low. If I think that for three years I have been in the top ten, surely such a decision is not easy to digest. "
