SLALOM WOMEN IN SEASON IN PROGRESS
In the current season they were played women's Slalom 7; dominatrix, needless to say, it is Mikaela Shiffrin, who has won 5 (Levi, Killington, Sestriere, Semmering and Maribor) and came third 1 time (Flachau). The only "intruders" are Veronika Velez Zuzulova, which in Zagreb took advantage of the forked Shiffrin to win, and Frida Hansdotter, dominatrix in Flachau.
Zuzulova was often beaten by Shiffrin: it is in fact ranked second in Killington, Sestriere and Semmering, races in which he has always finished third Wendy Holdener, also third in Flachau and second to Levi and Maribor, and therefore unique set to Shiffrin to boast 6 seasonal podiums. Top three for Petra Vlhova (third and second to Levi in ​​Zagreb), Sarka Strachova (third in Zagreb) and Nina Løseth (second in Flachau).
In the specialty ranking - which also includes the City Event Stockholm - logically commands Shiffrin with 660 points against the 515 of the 415 and Zuzulova of Holdener. The best blue and only one of the top fifteen is Chiara Costazza, ninth with 151 points and author of two eighth as the best seasonal results.
In summary, these are the podiums of Slalom 7 of the disputed World Cup season.
SLALOM WOMEN ST. MORITZ
St. Moritz is a town in the canton of Grisons, famous, luxury travel destination for both winter and summer, as well as the historic town as far as downhill skiing. In fact, it has already hosted three editions of the World Championships (1934, 1974 and 2003), one of the Olympic Games (1948) and the various stages of the World Cup; particularly since 1999 is pretty much regular event for the women's circuit.
However are only 5 editions of the women's Slalom St. Moritz, one of the World Cup, 3 valid for the World Cup of 1934, respectively, 1974 and 2003, and the one that gave the Olympic title in 1948. Given the considerable distance in years between one race and another, no woman has had a chance to win more than a win or a podium in a slalom raced in St. Moritz.
The best result of an Italian woman is the fifth place achieved by Claudia Giordani for the World Cup of 1974. Paula Wiesinger was instead sixth in 1934, while in the final race of last year Federica Brignone and Chiara Costazza they finished respectively sixteenth and twentieth.

WOMEN'S SLALOM WORLD CUP
The Special Slalom has entered the global agenda since the first edition of Mürren in 1931 and has consistently awarded the gold medal with a total of 43 titles, of which are part of the Olympic Games from 1948 to 1980 as they also value the World.
The individual medal is controlled by Christl Cranz, the dominator of the 30s, able to take home four golds (St. Moritz 1934, Chamonix 1937, Engelberg 1938, Zakopane 1939) and one silver (Murren 1935). At an altitude of 2 successes are Hanni Wenzel (St.Moritz 1974 Lake Placid 1980), Erika Hess (Schladming 1982, Crans Montana, 1987), Janica Kostelic (St. Moritz 2003 and Santa Caterina 2005) and Mikaela Shiffrin (Schladming 2013 Beaver Creek 2015: his streak continue?).
In terms of total medals, behind the 5 Cranzl there are at 4 Marielle Goitschel (1 gold and 3 silver), and Sarka Strachova, who very quietly won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. The Czech will therefore have an important date with history in the race in St. Moritz.
One world title to Italy, however, got in a historic race. On February 5, 1997 in Sestriere Deborah Compagnoni he won gold and silver Gizzards Lara, only blue double-female in a main event in any discipline of Alpine skiing (among men they succeeded Piero Gros and Gustav Thöni in the Slalom of Olympics Innsbruck, 1976). Besides the two Sestriere, they arrived four other medals between close stakes: Celina saws was bronze in Aspen in 1950, Claudia Giordani silver to Innsbruck 1976 Daniela Zini bronze in Schladming 1982 paoletta magoni bronze Bormio 1985.
The reigning world champion is Mikaela Shiffrin, which was imposed in 2015 in Beaver Creek in front of Frida Hansdotter and Sarka Strachova.
