The eleventh and final race of the World Championships in St. Moritz will be the Special Slalom.

MEN'S SLALOM IN SEASON IN PROGRESS
In the current season they were played 8 Slalom men who saw the intensification of the rivalry between Henrik Kristoffersen and Marcel Hirscher. Norway has imposed 5 times (Val d'Isere, Madonna di Campiglio, Adelboden, Wengen and Schladming) and arrived first once third (Zagreb), while Austrian's winning 2 times (Levi, where Kristoffersen was absent, and Kitzbühel, where the rival came out), came second four times, always behind his "nemesis", and one third time.

MEN'S SLALOM IN ST. MORITZ
St. Moritz is a town in the canton of Grisons, famous, luxury travel destination for both winter and summer, as well as the historic town as far as downhill skiing. MEN'S SLALOM WORLD CUP
The Special Slalom has entered the global agenda since the first edition of Mürren in 1931 and has consistently awarded the gold medal with a total of 43 titles, of which are part of the Olympic Games from 1948 to 1980 as they also value the World.

They managed to repeat a title also Anton Seelos (Innsbruck 1933, Murren 1935), Rudy Rominger (Engelberg 1938 Zakopane 1939), Mario Matt (St.Anton 2001 Ã…re 2007) and Jean-Baptiste Grange (Garmisch-Partenkirchen 2011 and Beaver Creek 2015).
The Slalom is the discipline of alpine skiing that has given the greatest number of medals to Italy, 14. 4 are men who can boast of the world title: Carlo Senoner won at Portillo in 1966, Gustav Thöni in St. Moritz in 1974, Piero Gros in Innsbruck in 1976 (which is in front of Thöni for the only two goals in a blue men's race of a main event) and Alberto Tomba in the Sierra Nevada in 1996.
Thöni is the most title having also brought home two silvers, Gros has come once second while Tomba in the barn also a bronze.
