On the occasion of the FISI athletes' winter season celebrations in Val Senales we had the pleasure of meeting Alex Vinatzer and exchanging a few words with him about the winter just ended.

The new junior world champion of special slalom at the press office of the Val Senales, firstly complimented the preparation of the slopes of the South Tyrol area explaining that despite the spring temperatures he and his companions had fun skiing on snow perfect worthy of the best winter conditions.
The nineteen-year-old from Val Gardena then took stock of his past season, considering himself extremely satisfied with the results achieved in particular for the junior world gold in the special slalom and especially the bronze medal in the Aare world cup team event.
Finally, Vinatzer explained that from next winter it aims to make the leap in quality also in the giant, a discipline where it has not yet expressed its full potential, while in slalom Alex wants to further raise the bar aiming to hit the top ten with continuity and perhaps to reach some positions in the first five positions.
