At the end of the Skipass, awards will be given to the champion of grass skiing who has left the competition and the many blue rollerski champions.

"The summer of winter sports: roller skis and grass skiing", a focus dedicated to the protagonists of two disciplines in which Italy has excelled for years and which the FISI wanted to reward, after a competitive 2021 with 7 medals senior championships, including 3 for grass skiing and 4 for roller skis in the home World Championship in Val di Fiemme.
Today in Modena, there was also the opportunity to celebrate the legendary career of Edoardo Frau, absolute record holder of grass skiing in Italy, who leaves the world of competitive sport after a career full of satisfactions that ended with two silvers at his last world championships. “I leave optimistic because I know that behind me there is a team of strong and motivated young people who I hope I have contributed to training and helped to improve, pushing them in the right direction. I thank my father for giving me an example by teaching me the value of hard work ”, said a moved Frau at the moment of the award ceremony surrounded by the World Cup team, the FISI president Flavio Roda and the technical director Fausto Cerentin.
On the sidelines, in addition to the celebration for the great successes of the duo Matteo Tanel and Emanuele Becchis, spearheads of the Italian roller ski movement, here are the awards for the winners of the Cascina Bianca 2021 Italian Cup. In the absolute female triumph for Sabrina Borettaz followed by Paola Beri and Elisa Rossato; in men Matteo Tanel preceded Emanuele Becchis and in third place Riccardo Masiero.
As a club it was the year of the SC Valdobbiadene, who finished with 6296 points, thus setting the ASD Nordic Ski (5601 points) and the SC Amis de Verrayes with 4774 points. Final prize also for Flavio Becchis, who will return to his post as conductor, delivered by president Roda and technical director Michel Rainer in a very exciting moment for the whole audience.
