Bryan was 3 years old when he began to have headaches often, to have bruises on his body easily, sleep more than usual and lose a lot of weight. The diagnosis for parents Tim and Penny was like a death sentence, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
From there I started so many years of chemotherapy, with Bryan who went to kindergarten completely bald, but that joke about his condition, he painted the head green and went about dressed as a ninja turtle. In those years he also had a heart attack, which took away part of his memory, in fact those years remember them only vaguely and pieces.
The treatments such as lumbar punctures were painful, but finally around 10 years the cancer went into remission, and during that time Bryan chose the Nordic combined, against the advice of doctors in Denver who thought too weak physically, since yet the possibility of making it were only 15%.
As soon diminished trips that Bryan had to do in Denver for medical checks, he could always engage more in cross country and learning the technique necessary for the jump, and with 30 hours of training a week, to 16 years was already good enough to compete at international level.
In 2010, Bryan had the opportunity to go to the Olympics in Vancouver, but because of a trivial fall down the stairs he had a sprained ankle, and he was summoned to her I put the younger brother Taylor, who won a silver medal.
It has now been called up for the Sochi Olympics, and Bryan was able to find the positive side of all his misfortunes: "I think back to the past and come to the conclusion that having had to deal with cancer may have been something positive.
