Another round, another victory for the Norwegian phenomenon. Not just any victory, but a milestone that places him in the Olympus of the discipline: number 43 in the World Cup, as many as Eric Frenzel, third today. After yesterday's success, the appointment with history was set, but Riiber did not want to wait and at the first attempt he reached the goal: to conquer the 43rd career victory in the World Cup, which leads him to join Eric Frenzel, the second most successful ever in the maximum circuit. And now Manninen, at 48, is in the crosshairs and could be reached already this season.
Riiber's roadmap is indeed impressive: seven wins this season, six consecutive. Ramsau was a competition context that could leave room for rivals, above all Vinzenz Geiger, who had to settle for two places of honor. Even today the Norwegian gave the decisive breakthrough in the jump, where he accumulated a decent margin, which he then administered in the back section, where he kept the German rival at a safe distance.
Geiger, sixth in the middle of the race, made a big voice on skis and finished 15 "behind the winner, ahead of his compatriots Frenzel 3rd and Terence Weber 4th by 20". Espen Andersen, on the other hand, slipped from second to fifth place, defeated by the sprint for the podium. Herola, sixth at the end, recovered several positions setting the best time on skis, finishing ahead of Jens Luraas Oftebro 7th, with Julian Schmid, Espen Bjoernstad and Joergen Graabak completing the top 10.
Raffaele Buzzi's excellent performance among the Azzurri, 27th after the jump and 24th at the end. Points area also for Samuel Costa, 26th; while Alessandro Pittin finished 33rd.
With the double race in Ramsau, the first period of CdM ended, which will now take a break for the Christmas holidays and will return to the scene between 06 and 09 January in Val di Fiemme, where the girls will also be there. Eight races went to the archive, 700 points put in the farmhouse by Riiber, who is firmly in command of the general classification with an advantage of 280 points over Lamparter and 344 over Weber.
