After the cancellation of yesterday's Mass Start, Westvold Hansen conquers the Gundersen, dominating far and wide the 5 km of cross-country skiing. In the men's field, with the absence of Riiber, Lamparter and Julian Schmid win.

After the forfeits in the mixed team event and in the incipit of yesterday's Mass Start, later cancelled, Annika Sieff decided to take part in the final Gundersen of the World Cup stage in Otepää. The blue scored the best score in the jump segment, trimming 12" to Westvold Hansen and Nowak and about half a minute to Armbruster and Hirner.
However, the dream of another podium vanished in the first part of the long-distance race. The Norwegian Westvold Hansen immediately returned to the blue and detached it, flying towards the 12th victory in the World Cup. Behind Sieff didn't have the strength to resist the return of the two Germans and the Austrian, who fought for the remaining podium positions, and in the end he finished 6th, also behind Yuna Kasai.
The second place went to the young German Nathalie Armbruster, who got the better of Lisa Hirner in the final, with Nowak at the foot of the podium. In Italy, Veronica Gianmoena also finished in the top 10, excellent 9a, Daniela Dejori 15a instead, the young Greta Pinzani 21a.
In the men's field, with Riiber's absence, the Austrian Johannes Lamparter took advantage of it, winner of Saturday's Mass Start ahead of the Finn Ilkka Herola and his compatriot Thomas Rettenegger; and Julian Schmid, at his second high of the season after his victory at the beginning of winter in Ruka. In Gundersen the Austrian finishes 2nd, with Rehrl in third place.
Good placements for the Azzurri from Aaron Kostner, 18th in Race-2 (22nd in Race-1), with Costa 30th, and from Raffaele Buzzi, 21st in Mass, in which Pittin finishes 27th.
