Nordic combined: Westvold Hansen enters fifth place at Otepää, Annika Sieff is confirmed on excellent levels

The Norwegian proves to be the dominatrix of the women's Nordic combined circuit and has a double success also in Estonia, thus remaining unbeaten in the season. On the podium also the other norge Ida Marie Hagen and Marte Leinan Lund, with only Yuna Kasai able to fit into the Scandinavian monologue. Good performances for Annika Sieff, who is confirmed at the top of the discipline.

Westvold Hansen dominated thanks to two excellent trials on the springboard that allowed her to hit the fourth and fifth consecutive victory in top-level individual competitions. In the Mass Start of Race 1, after finishing the sprint in fourth place in the cross-country trial, she unleashes a "five-star" jump of 94 m that leaves no way out for the opponents. Place of honor for the first career podium for the other Norwegian Ida Marie Hagen. Mari Leinan Lund, who would have been firmly on the podium, on which the Japanese Kasai climbs instead, was disqualified after her jump. The “terrible” Gyda (Westvold Hansen ed.) Then repeated in race two, putting on ice the success already in the middle of the race, won with 50 ”on Mars Leinan Lund and one minute on Hagen. She also had no problem in the 5 km cross-country in controlling the two teammates from a distance, who challenged each other for the remaining podium positions, with Hagen still second and Leinan Lund third. On the other hand, Mari Leinan Lund did not start in the cross-country segment. Good weekend for the Azzurri team and in particular for Annika Sieff. Fresh from the podium in Race 1 in Lillehammer, the Italian did not find the feeling on the Estonian small springboard. Failing its strength, however, it defended itself very well in the fund, showing progress compared to the first seasonal outings. The booty speaks of two fifth places that bode well for the rest of the season. Veronica Gianmoena also stood out in Italy, 8a and 10a. Daniela Dejori did not finish the first race while she finished 13th in Race 2. Next week the Women's Nordic Combined World Cup will take place in Ramsau, Austria, where the last race before the Christmas break is scheduled.
