Over the weekend, the Nordic Combined World Cup made a stop in Val di Fiemme, where two individual races and a Sprint Team took place.

Friday in Race 1 the success went to the German Johannes Rydzek, who on the last climb of the fiemmese ring launched the decisive attack, pulling off the Norwegian Joergen Graabak, 2nd at the finish line, and Mario Seidl 3rd. The Austrian, in command after the jump segment, tried to contain the recovery of the pursuers, but was reached a few hundred meters from the finish line. Jarl Magnus Riiber, second half of the race, instead finished at the foot of the podium. Good performance for Alessandro Pittin who has re-positioned 13 positions in the fund, closing 12th. Samuel Costa 21st also entered the points.
The Azzurri were protagonists in Saturday's Sprint Team, closed in 4th place to 39 "by the winners of the day, the Norwegians Jan Schmid and Joergen Graabak. The Scandinavians, in the lead after the jump, in the background fraction progressively lost seconds, until they were joined by Germany I (Johannes Rydzek-Vinzenz Geiger) and Germany II (Eric Frenzel-Fabian Riessle). In the sprint, however, Graabak did not leave the opponents to escape, preceding Geiger and Riessle.
In Race 2 to rejoice it was instead the young German Vinzenz Geiger, who got the first career success in the World Cup. The Bavarian, fourth after the jump, launched the decisive attack on the last climb, pulling off the compatriot Johannes Rydzek, 2nd to 7 ". Third place for Akito Watabe who on the last lap managed to get the better of the Austrian Franz-Josef Rehrl, in charge after the jump segment. Alessandro Pittin and Samuel Costa have re-centered the points area, settling in 17th and 21st position.
Jarl Magnus Riiber, who did not take part in the second individual race, remains in command of the overall World Cup standings with 730 points. The weekend, however, was clearly favorable to Johannes Rydzek, who rose to 581.
