After a weekend break, the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup resumes from Ramsau, Austria, where happening the last two races of the calendar year 2016.

ATTUALITA''Tra Ruka and Lillehammer have been staged four individual races and a team, all won by Germany, which also got nine podium finishes out of a possible theoretical 13. Furthermore we have four Germans in the top five of the general classification of World Cup.

HISTORY RAMSAULa resort of Styria, located about 220 km south-west of the capital Vienna, has made its entry in the maximum circuit calendar in 1998 and, after attending an occasional way for several years, it has become a fixture for more than a decade.
The plant of the Liezen district has a special feature, namely that of having one of the smallest ever trampolines on which competes in the World Cup. In fact, the HS point is set at just 98 meters. It follows that the generated detachments are generally limited, with the consequent formation of authentic "grupponi" in the bottom segments, where it is possible to perform remarkable comebacks.
So far in Ramsau you have played 25 individual competitions valid for the Crystal Ball, to which are added the second World Cup in 1999, for a total of 27 top-level tests.
Are 14 athletes to boast at least one success. Amongst them Bjoern Kircheisen, Jason Lamy-Chappuis and Magnus Moan, capable of commanding well in 4 occasions.
If the Frenchman has now retired, the two trentatreenni are part of the exclusive club of athletes in activities to have excelled on this slope. Besides Moan and Kircheisen, also have claims in Ramsau Eric Frenzel (2), Mikko Kokslien (1) and Jan Schmid.
Among the Combiners in activities on the podium, albeit without ever excel, they read the names of Hannu Manninen, Maxim Laheurte, Bernhard Gruber, Alessandro Pittin, Johannes Rydzek, Magnus Krog, Fabian Rießle, Håvard Klemetsen, Jarl Magnus Riiber and Manuel Faißt.
Placing in the top-three blue is dated December 19, 2009, when the carnico stood third behind Lamy-Chappuis and Edelmann.
In terms of countries, the highest step of Ramsau waved only 6 different flags. No one can compete with Norway, reached 11 victories, however obtained with six different men. This is followed by Germany (6); the 'Austria hostess (4) and France (4); close the United States and Finland (1). Japan, therefore, has never excelled, stopping at most a third place with Kenji Ogiwara the World Cup in 1999.
