The blues led by technician Ivo Pertile reached the Alto Garda area to carry out an intensive training program, in the first six days of last week, including trekking, mountain biking, roller skis, SUP and acrobatic sessions. "We are very satisfied with the season that has just ended and with the results obtained - said the blue coach - Garda Trentino is the ideal place to train because the climate is perfect and you can practice different activities: last year's retreat we brought luck, now the goal is to confirm and grow, with the Milan-Cortina 2026 horizon ahead of us ”. The women's Nordic combined is, in fact, among the sports candidates to become part of the five-circle program since the Italian Olympics, with Val di Fiemme as the probable competition location. The blue selection, composed of Annika Sieff (2003), Veronica Gianmoena (1995), Lena Prinoth (2003), Greta Pinzani (2005), Giada Delugan (2006) and Daniela Dejori (2002, the latter absent for personal reasons) stayed at the EcoHotel Primavera in Riva del Garda, also welcomed by the Councilor for sport of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Roberto Failoni. "Trentino invests heavily in sport, particularly in winter disciplines, and we are proud of our athletes and the results they collect around the world - said the Councilor - Last year we saw the start of the international path of these girls, whom we hope to see at the 2026 Olympics on the trampoline in Val di Fiemme ”. Cristina Santi, mayor of Riva del Garda, greeted the city: "The season has restarted very well: the months of July and August are already sold out in the structures of the area and sport is certainly a strong driving force that brings guests here, and an example that guides us on the road to restart. "Compared to last year, the restart was much better and returning to hosting high-level athletes is a great satisfaction for us - commented the President of Garda Dolomiti SpA, Silvio Rigatti - We hope that the athletes can enjoy this open-air gymnasium, but not only them: our goal is to bring even more quality to our territory to make everyone, guests and residents live an ever better experience ". Other important representatives of the snow world have also found the ideal destination in Upper Garda and the neighboring territories of Comano and Ledro: Michelle Gisin and Luca De Aliprandini, champions who certainly need no introduction, have in fact chosen Riva for three years. del Garda as the center of their family life, finding in Garda Trentino the enchanting landscapes and the ideal environment to enjoy the well-deserved relaxation after the long competitive season. The couple wanted to welcome the blue girls, meeting them in recent days: "Even though we have been living in Garda Trentino for only three years, I have often come here to spend my holidays since I was a child, because I have always considered it a wonderful area for visit. Today it is a perfect reality for us to live in ”, commented the Swiss champion. Michelle is also testimonial of "Protect Our Winters", an organization founded in 2007, made up of athletes, activists and companies, which aims to raise public awareness on the consequences of climate change: "Seeing the melting glaciers is really very sad and we must understand that it is a concrete problem, and we can all do our part to safeguard the environment ”.
