After yesterday's double in the individual competition, today the Germans have won the gold medal in the team test, trimming an abysmal gap to the opponents.

The Germans clearly made the difference already in the first series, in which they gained an important advantage over all the opponents. The mvp was Karl Geiger, who landed at 129m in the opening rotation, leading his team on the run and removing pressure from his teammates. Leyhe and Eisenbichler also expressed themselves on good levels, while he slightly disappointed Freitag (121 m). At mid-race the Germans therefore accumulated 25 points of margin on Austria, 33 on Japan and 36 on Poland. Norway stood in fifth place with about twenty points from the podium, preceding Slovenia 6th, Switzerland 7th and Czech Republic 8th. Russia 9a, Finland 10th, United States elevenths and Kazakhstan 12th did not pass the cut.
In the first rotation of the second series Geiger has made the difference again, reaching the HS point (130 m) and effectively closing the games for the victory. Freitag, Leyhe and Eisenbichler have indeed controlled and Germany has thus conquered the gold with 57 points ahead of the second classified, an abyss. Behind the Germans the race for the silver medal was won by the Austrian owners. In fact, Philipp Aschenwald, Michael Hayböck, Daniel Huber and Stefan Kraft have beaten Japan by a dozen points.
The Japanese, dragged by Yukiya Sato and Ryoyu Kobayashi, have in turn preceded by 10 points Poland, which after the disappointment of the individual test, comes out without a medal also from the Team Event. The Poles, undisputed favorites until a week ago, did not express themselves at best and therefore had to settle for the wooden medal. Only fifth is Norway, another disappointed by the day, which ended up in front of Slovenia 6th, Switzerland 7th and Czech Republic 8th.
