Over the weekend recently spent were played in Nizhny Tagil the last three competitions of the 2016-17 Continental Cup Nordic Combined. Among the protagonists we find Lukas Runggaldier, able to get on the podium twice and to gain a precious additional bib for the first period of the next World Cup. Two other athletes have had something to rejoice over the weekend Russian: Martin Fritz won the overall ranking cadet circuit, while Tobias Simon did his two races and was confirmed as one of the top athletes from Team B Teutonic.

In the competition played Friday the best in the jump segment was Hisaki Nagamine, thanks to a remarkable performance from 99.5 m (half meter before the point HS), however, facilitated by the found front wind storm. In the bottom of the script it has varied widely, in fact, cross-country skiers have made the big voice and dimensional quality athletes on the trampoline have sunk: in a thrilling sprint finish won the day Lemmerer Harald Fritz and David Welde. Fourth place for Armin Bauer finally just eight tenths of a second off successfully. Those who departed linger longer after the jump appeared unable to play for the top of the league at the photo finish: blue Runggaldier finished 6th, 7th and Bernhard Hugo Buffard Flaschberger 8th, all these preceded by Lukas Greiderer.

The next day the race pattern was different: the Japanese Nagamine started again with the bib number one in the second segment of the competition, but who later on have to race results for success. In fact, the German Simon, second in the jump, he managed to set a trial preserves the margin gained on the best cross-country skiers and has stolen win solo. This outcome was the result of the major gaps brought by the heat on the trampoline, where the best cross-country skiers have paid more duty. The sprint to six for the remaining two steps of the podium was checked by Austrian Flaschberger on Gardena Runggaldier. Fourth place for the medalist at junior level Martin Hahn, opposite the Rot-Weiß-Rot Greiderer, Harald Johnas Riiber and Go Yamamoto.

The last race scheduled in the Russian town should have contend with two jumps and 15 km of cross, as is usually structured the final season, but the difficult wind conditions have forced organizers to shorten everything to a common gundersen with a jump and 10 km on the narrow skis. In the segment played on the trampoline it has been imposed for the first time of the weekend Simon, by virtue of the provision of 98.5 m with wind compensation essentially nothing. The variable weather conditions have led to very full-bodied detachments and some reversals in rank: in fact, the 5th at the start had a deficit of more than 1 '. At this juncture the German tread has again managed well the advantage on the most formidable rivals, winning the 3rd win of the season in the cadet level, the 2nd row. Behind Simon is on a two fight for the second place: finally she won the day transalpine Buffard on Gardena Runggaldier. Following the athletes arrived in dribs and drabs: a fourth for Fritz anything about Welde, sixth place for the blue Bauer.

In summary, the most important places have caught them four athletes: Fritz (2 °, 20 ° and 4 °) managed to defend his lead in the overall standings from the assault of Welde, and to bring home the win; Simon (10 °, 1 ° and 1 °) won a very important additional bib for Germany in perspective of the first period of the adventure winter season, although most likely not will benefit himself; Analogously to the Teutonic for Runggaldier (6th, 3rd and 3rd) and Lemmerer (1 °, 10 ° and 8 °).
Others have thus concluded the present blue vintage racing: Bauer (4 °, 32 ° and 6 °) was once again the number four within the team led by Paolo Bernardi; Manuel Maierhofer (12 °, 37 ° and 17 °) it is expressed in line with the results of the whole season, so without infamy and without praise; Raffaele Buzzi (23 °, 18 ° and 25 °) showed net progress compared to January, so a good prospect for the future.
In conclusion, the overall ranking of the Continental Cup is so came to be formed:
