Via the Grand Prix of Nordic combined: here are the Azzurri, injured Rydzek declares forfeit

The summer review with Italy is taking place on Friday, presenting the full team led by Alessandro Pittin.

The Nordic Combined Grand Prix is also starting, with the Azzurri and the Italians in the race, on the weekend of 23-25 August, in Oberwiesenthal for the first engagement of the new season. The German resort will host a program with opening scheduled for Friday with the dispute of the two Provisional Competition Round, followed on Saturday by the team competition, the Mixed Team with men and women in the race; the grand closing on Sunday 25 with the individual tests jumping from the HS106 springboard and playing everything in the Gundersen with a 10 km skiroll for the men's sector and 4.5 km for the girls. The national team will present with Alessandro Pittin, Aaron Kostner, Samuel Costa and Raffaele Buzzi among the men, while Annika Sieff, Veronica Gianmoena and Daniela Dejori will be the blue protagonists, elements that have already done very well in the first phase of the season between the youth jump circuit and Nordic combined. In the male sector, a big man like Johannes Rydzek will be missing: the German Olympian accuses an overload of work on his left foot and announced the flat rate in the past few hours, with a relative stop of at least three weeks to avoid a more serious metatarsal injury. The next stages of the circuit are set at Klingenthal, also in Germany, on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 August, before moving to Oberhof from 30 August to 1 September and closing between Tschagguns (Austria) on 3-4 September and Planica from 6 to 8 September.
