What looked like a month-long injury has threatened to break the career of Samuel Costa, who came back to Livigno for the first time with his team-mates in the Nordic Combined National Team after four knee operations.

"Finally I can train with the other friends of the national team after a very hard period.The first operation went wrong and after some checks some doctors told me that I probably could not compete anymore.Fortely after other exams I consulted with other doctors and thanks to their care and to the physiotherapists I'm back in shape ready to return to the race. "
"Not having been able to take part in the Pyoengchang Olympics, the possibility of having the Olympic Games in Italy in 2026 gives me another strength to get back in. It is something unique and I will do my best to sponsor the Italian Olympic candidacy. "
