The greats of Fondo and Biathlon will be an aperitif to the traditional Palio delle Contrade in which at 8:30 pm the livignaschi will take to the track in the classic period dresses to defend the colors of their district. In the afternoon the program will stage the 1K Shot with qualifying and semi-finals from 6 pm to 7 pm the finals.
If the participation of Federico Pellegrino, Dorothea Wierer, Lisa Vittozzi and Dietmar Nöckler was already widely announced, it is yesterday's news of the arrival of four Russian cross-country skiers training in the Swiss Davos. The presence of Sergej Ustjugov is confirmed that in full preparation with the skiroll will be skiing for the first time this season. To enrich the cast of the departed Dietmar Nöckler, Francesco De Fabiani, Maicol Rastelli but also Andrew Musgrave, Andrew Young and the Slovenian Janez Lampic as well as the biathletes Lukas Hofer, Pietro Dutto, Saverio Zini, Thomas Bormolini and Paolo Rodigari.
The women's competition will see the two Russians and the Slovenian Anamarja Lampic against our blue Greta Laurent, Ilaria Debertolis, Elisa Brocard and Lucia Scardoni. The news of the day is the inscription of Marianna Longa, a Livignasca athlete who in 2011 had closed with the races to dedicate herself to her family, to her son Michele, who 'claimed' her at home. Then two more children arrived and now again in the race. She minimizes: "It's not a return, it's just the desire to compete in my Livigno. I am not particularly trained, I only do running sessions (second in July at the Stralivigno) and I could not resist the organizers' invitation. But I will also race at the Palio delle Contrade after 1K Shot, to help my district Saroch ". To them will be added the biathlete Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi that in the coming season will race with the colors of Livigno.
