Fischer dominates the World Cup medal in Seefeld

If Norway has dominated the medal table for nations of the recent Nordic skiing world championships, the same can be said of Fischer as regards the classification reserved for manufacturers.

In fact, the Austrian brand won 88 medals (32 gold, 29 silver and 27 bronze medals), beating the competition. The laurels came from all three disciplines and from champions who are doing and will make the history of Nordic skiing. In the cross-country skiing Fischer has excelled with Therese Johaug and Johannes Hoesflot KlÃ¦bo, undisputed stars of the world championship. The first between individual competitions and relay races has won three golds and one silver, the second three other golds. As for the Nordic combined, the Austrian brand was able to count on the results of two champions of the discipline, the German Eric Frenzel and the Norwegian Jarl Magnus Riiber. These two athletes have won the world titles on Normal Hill and Large Hill and represent the maximum expression of the discipline. In the special jump Markus Eisenbichler with ski Fischer has put on his neck three golds, one of which obtained in the individual competition on Large Hill. Great satisfactions, however, came also from Maren Lundby, world champion in the women's sector and the first woman able to win a world championship gold, an Olympic gold and a general world cup.
