On the last day of the penultimate stage of the World Cup before the World Championships in Seefeld, the Sprint Team in classical technique was presented in Lahti, a prelude to the world championship which will be staged in exactly the same technique in two weeks. In the women's field, Sweden brings to 5 the number of consecutive winning World Cup trials, a strip that began on February 5, 2017 at PyeongChang which strangely was not confirmed either at the World Championships two years ago or at the last Olympic Games. To impose themselves, using materials prepared to perfection and despite a fall in the first fractions, Ida Ingemarsdotter and Maja Dahlqvist in the final segment impressively features the competition formed in the front row by Maiken Caspersen Falla, winner of the individual test in free technique yesterday, who competed in tandem with Tiril Udnes Weng. The Swedish army is also on the third step of the podium with Sweden II formed by Evelina Settlin and Hanna Falk. Fourth place for Russia II (Aleshina - Shapovalova), fifth Finland II (Matintalo - Kylloenen).

In the men's field, the Norwegians Emil Iversen and Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo succeeded where two years ago at the World Championships they had failed due to a fall. A decisive break of the individual World Cup leader in the last fraction is sufficient to easily be the opponents' reason. At three points the sprint for the second place rewards Sindre Bjernestad Skar and Erik Brandsdal in comeback over Finns Iivo Niskanen and Ristomatti Hakkola.
Francesco De Fabiani and Federico Pellegrino, after obtaining the fourth place in the semifinals and having been rescued for the final, if they play in the first rows throughout the race to give up in the last fraction while remaining in the group that presents itself at the finals in sprint. The fifth place comes for them, preceded also by the Russians Maltsev and Retivykh. They did not make it, but the other two blues Maicol Rastelli and Stefan Zelger, sixteenth in the final order of arrival.
