The Fis Convention of Costa Novarino awarded the organization of the world championship to the Slovenian town.

Planica, after being defeated three times in a row, in today's vote won the challenge with Trondheim. In 2023, therefore, Slovenia will host for the first time in history the Nordic skiing world championships, taking place in Seefeld 2019 and Oberstdorf 2021. In the past, in the towns located in the Julian Alps, a few kilometers from the border with Italy, six exhibitions were held iridescent flight on skis.
In today's session, the Congress also assigned the World Cup for Skiing 2022, which will be held in Vikersund (the only candidate). The Norwegian resort will take place in Planica, which will organize the event in 2020.
