Caterina Ganz is eleventh in the women's race while Federico Pellegrino, fifteenth, is the best of the Italians in the men's field and precedes Francesco De Fabiani, now ninth in the World Cup standings.

After a one-month break, in which instead of participating in the Tour de Ski he chose to work in preparation for the World Championships in Seefeld, Therese Johaug returns and does so exactly from the point where he had left his race in the return season. The Norwegian, in the 10 km classic technique of Otepaa, gets the sixth victory over six races distance disputed and he does it by placing at a safe distance all the opponents. The closest is another cross-country skier who has not participated in the Tour de Ski, the twenty-one Swedish Ebba Andersson who closes the test 48 seconds from the winner and precedes by 8 seconds another performer of the new generation, the twenty-three-year-old Russian Natalia Nepryaeva, second classified at the summit of Cermis.
The Finnish Krista Parmakoski finished fourth, fifth the Tour de Ski winner and World Cup leader Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg, sixth Charlotte Kalla, seventh Astrid Jacobsen. The top ten is closed by Anastasia Sedova, the German Katharina Hennig and Anna Zherebiateva. The tenth place for only 7 seconds, confirming an important growth in the season of consecration at certain levels, the twenty-three-year-old Caterina Ganz, eleventh after a crescendo race in which she recovered positions kilometer after kilometer. Lucia Scardoni and Greta Laurent, respectively forty seven and fifty second, close away from the points.
In the overall World Cup standings, Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg maintains the lead with 1997 points and precedes Natalia Nepryaeva (1021) and Krista Parmakoski (957). Therese Johaug, fourth, climbs to 700 points, fifth is the Russian Yulia Belorukova (680).

In the men's field comes the victory of the world champion in charge of the format 15 km alternating and Olympic champion of 50 km, the Finnish Ilvo Niskanen in sight of Seefeld is regaining the form world. The Finn is 15 seconds ahead of the Russian Alexander Bolshunov, the only contender who seemed able to keep the winner's pace at the different lap times. Instead, we are witnessing a fight on the edge of the latter for the third place and the back-up positions. The checkered Norwegian Didrik Toenseth who is third at 46.4 from Niskanen ahead of just over a second compatriot Martin Johnsrud Sundby and 3 Russian Bessmertnykh. It is sixth Evgeniy Belov that precedes Sjur Roethe, Mattis Stenshagen, Ristomatti Hakkola and Andrey Larkov.
Three Azzurri enter the points area. The best is Federico Pellegrino, fifteenth at 1.36.6, which precedes a position by Francesco De Fabiani (at 1.45.0); is twenty-eighth at 2.31.9 Maicol Rastelli.
In the overall World Cup standings, Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo is first with 1034 points, 124 ahead of Alexander Bolshunov and 324 on Sjur Roethe. Didrik Toenseth (597) is fourth ahead of Simen Hegstad Krueger (577). Francesco De Fabiani climbs in ninth position with 479 points.
