P l Golberg comes back and takes over the Ski Tour. Johaug on the run to the legend

Trondheim's classic technique chases ended the 2020 Ski Tour this afternoon. Norway monopolized the podiums in both races. Good test for Francesco De Fabiani.

On the eve of the men's 30 km the favorite for the final victory was Alexander Bolshunov, at the top of the Ski Tour ranking with a 34 ”margin over Golberg. The intense snow that made the Trondheim circuit even harder has changed the cards on the table. Already during the first lap, the Norwegian took over and detached the leader of the World Cup, which had several material problems. From then on, for Golberg it was a triumphant ride towards success in the 2020 Ski Tour. His compatriots were no less behind him and monopolized the top six positions. In the final Simen Hegstad Krueger set Hans Christer Holund in the sprint, while Iversen, Nyenget and Klæbo occupied the positions at the foot of the podium. Bolshunov finished 7th at 1''41 "from Golberg, ahead of Iivo Niskanen, capable of recovering from 16th place. A comeback race also for Francesco De Fabiani, who climbed from 20th to 13th position. Therese Johaug took the lead in the women's 15km race from the first to the last meter, winning the 19th success of the season. Another step in the legend. The Norwegian, who started with more than 2’30 "of margin on compatriots Heidi Weng and Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg, was not satisfied with a result already written and wanted to honor the large audience in Trondheim. Johaug did not spare herself and interpreted the hard 5 km track at its best, made even more demanding by a heavy snowfall. Behind Oestberg and Weng they competed in pairs until the end and they played the place of honor in the sprint, won by the latter. The two reached the finish line with 3'40 "from the winner, an abyss. The 4th and 5th positions remained crystallized, occupied respectively by Ebba Andersson and Astrid Jacobsen. Elisa Brocard, the best of the Italians, finished 24th instead.
