At the FIS Congress in Barcelona has assigned the organization of'' Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld (Austria).

The resort Tyrolean been preferred in Oberstdorf (Germany), Planica (Slovenia) and Almaty (Kazakhstan).
The Nordic World Ski Championships will be held in Austria and then for the fourth time in history, the second in Seefeld after'' edition of 1985 to which are added those of 1933 (Innsbruck) and 1999 (Ramsau).
Oberstdorf must then collect the fourth consecutive defeat (!) After having already was beaten by the Val di Fiemme in 2013, from Falun to 2015 and from 2017 to Lahti. instead Second consecutive defeat for Planica, candidatasi for 2017. Almaty was instead the first application.
