Therese Johaug gives up the Tour de Ski, Klaebo will be there

The composition of the Norwegian team has been made official today and in the men's and women's field will participate in the Tour de Ski which will start from Dobbiaco on December 29th with a Sprint in free technique.

The news of the day is the official renunciation of Therese Johaug to better prepare the World Championships in Seefeld, an important absence of the undisputed leader of the World Cup which is added to the already announced renounces of the Swedish Charlotte Kalla and Ebba Andersson. It will be a Tour de Ski without the first three of the Cup classification, a sign of a formula to be reviewed within the general review of the Cross-Country calendars. There are no surprises nor noble defections where the presence was confirmed, for the first time, at the start of Johannes HÃ¸sflot KlÃ¦bo that with Sundby, Roethe, Toenseth goes to form a poker of Norwegians that could have ambitions of final victory. The road may be the Russian Aleksandr Bolshunov, sixth last year at the debut, the Swiss Dario Cologna in search of the encore after last season's victory, the French Maurice Manificat, the Canadian Alex Harvey and the Swedish Halfvarsson. The Norwegian team is completed by Eirik Brandsdal, Finn HÃ¥gen Krogh, Martin LÃ¸wstrÃ¸m Nyenget, Simen Hegstad KrÃ¼ger, Hans Christer Holund and Emil Iversen.
