The blue season started on the summer circuit of the women's special jump.

The first stage of the Summer Grand Prix in Hinterzarten, in fact, saw Lara Malsiner get a good 7th place in a race that saw virtually all the World Cup giants in the race, not by chance the podium was occupied by star players of the caliber of Sara Takanashi, which is already confirmed at the highest levels on plastic (where it has always conquered the general classification of the circuit since it was established, ie 7 years ago), bending Maren Lundby from Norway with a 4-point margin, while the Slovak Nika Kriznar will close in third place, detached from almost 12 lengths. There were three Italians in the competition: in addition to Lara Malsiner, sister Manuela was expected to return to the race, practically in the pits for a full year after a serious injury to her right knee (cruciate rupture, internal collateral and meniscus), with the Gardena who finished in 30th place, just ahead of Elena Runggaldier, at the end of 32nd. Saturday the grand finale of the German event: at 11.55am the mixed team event, at 18.30 the individual men's event (the second of the Summer Grand Prix after Wisla) with not so many big and with the Slovenian Jelar who got the best score in the qualification of last night, ahead of Schlierenzauer and Peier. For the Azzurri there will be Alex Insam and Federico Cecon, who passed the cut.
