Today's morning in Villach ended the first weekend of international women's jumping competitions. In the second valid test for the FIS Cup, Nika Kriznar was again the best of a lot full of high-profile athletes.

The seventeen-year-old Ziri set himself up for Juliane Seyfarth: the teutonic veteran found himself dances at the end of the first race segment with a length of advantage over the young Slovene, but at the crucial moment Kriznar popped it out for only Half point.
Overall, success was judged by judges, as the Thuringian native athlete lost 3.5 overall style lengths versus Slovenia and, in general, several points from all athletes of a certain size entered into the competition.
On the third step of the podium, Daniela Haralambie, the author of a very solid test, was again accommodated. Just outside of the top-three is Sophie Mair, who is third in the second round by the Romanian side: for the sixteen-year-old Austrian is still one of the best career results considering the competition found in the race and most importantly it has been re-confirmed the best of the B Rot team -Weiss-Rot.
A bit of disappointment came from Luisa Goerlich's first jump that forced him to the tenth square but the best performance of the second set allowed him to recover seven positions and to qualify for fifth place finish with Kamila Karpiel.
The youngest in Zakopane is the new name of this first race weekend: therefore, the Polish team is enriched with another interesting element that goes to add to the already known Anna Twardosz (9 ^) and Kinga Rajda (12 ^).
For the sake of chronicle, the performance of three athletes usually attending the World Cup must be reported: Ursa Bogataj finished eighth, Eva Logar at the 11th and Ramona Straub at the Fourth. At their discretion it should be remembered that we are only in early July and the summer season will come alive in more than a month.
The general ranking of the FIS Cup then sees Kriznar at full score (200 points), followed by Seyfarth (130), Goerlich (125) and Haralambie (120).
Now the lap of the women's jump takes a long pause: in mid-September are the third and fourth FIS Cup competitions in Kandersteg, while on August 10 there will be a qualification for the opening of the Summer Grand Prix at Courchevel.
