The Norwegian is the first jumper in history to have won a general standings of the World Cup, an Olympic gold and a world title.

Reduced by four victories in the last five races, Lundby showed up in Seefeld with the favors of the prediction and, at the end of a very uncertain race, did not disappoint the expectations, entering right in the history of the discipline.
With a first jump of 106.5 m took the lead, ahead of the German Althaus and Seyfarth and the Austrian Pinkelnig. Althaus, despite having obtained the best measure (108 m), has paid a gap of 1.6 points from the tread due to decidedly lower stylistic evaluations. On the other hand, Seyfarth was third in the provisional position thanks to a 104-meter performance, which allowed her to stay in the wake of the first two, just 4.6 points off the top. All the others have instead accused more than 10 lengths of delay.
In the second series Althaus and Lundby then dueled for the conquest of the world title. The German has again obtained the best measure of the series, landing at 107 m. For its part, the Norwegian has supported an excellent telemark at 104.5 m, thus defending the first position for 5 tenths. A bitter end for Katharina Althaus, who had to settle for the silver, preceding Daniela Iraschko-Stolz, who climbed from the 8th to the third position thanks to a jump of 105.5 m.
The Austrian veteran dunquemess behind Juliane Seyfarth 4a, compatriot Eva Pinkelnig 5th and a disappointing Sara Takanashi, 6th and never fighting for a podium position.
Among the blue ones in the race, good performance for Lara Malsiner, 14th at the end of the race. Elena Runggaldier ended up in 27th place.
