Yuki Ito wins the first race of Frenstat, but always tells Sara Takanashi

Archived the opening stage of the Summer Grand Prix at Courchevel, the special jump jumper went to the Czech Republic for a double competition in that of Frenstat pod Radhostem. This afternoon the first race was played by Yuki Ito, but it was more about Sara Takanashi to talk about himself.

In the morning, the five-time winner of the overall ranking of the highest summer circuit was disqualified after the qualifying leap due to the length of the skis, performance that had allowed him to momentarily take command of the competition. So this was the first case where a top athlete was cut off from the actual race since the prequalified in the spring meeting were eliminated. Takanashi saw many opportunities to win for the 6th consecutive Summer GP, as he is now chasing the new leader Ito at 80 points. In addition, the failure to participate in the afternoon competition stopped at 21 the placement of the placings in the top 8 in races of the highest circuit on plastic. The qualification was then won by Ito, who became the number one favorite for the afternoon. The 21-year-old Shimokawa did not miss out on expectations: from the first series, he was in charge of operations thanks to the only day performance beyond the 95.5-meter K point. At the decisive moment he rejected the assault of the opponents by signing the second best score. Ito has become the sixth skipper ever able to qualify for at least one Summer GP competition, which has to be reflected, especially since just seven days ago Katharina Althaus (now absent because she is engaged in a marriage with teammates Wuerth, Rupprecht and Vogt) had become the fifth. Is something changing in a circuit blocked for years under the usual Takanashi name? From tomorrow, we might have a clearer answer. Given all these absences announced or not, there has been room for those who have often gravitated away from the great spotlight: the young Lucile Morat, the youngest podium of a career promising more than good, was ranked at the plaza. The little girl in Courchevel has moved beyond the brightest expectations: already in the first part of the competition she was in a good fourth place, but the real masterpiece made her in the decisive leap where she was the absolute best. At the third stage of the podium we find Maren Lundby: the Scandinavian leader has achieved a result in line with expectations even though he has found a second performance slightly under tone. Compared to the best version seen last year there is still a bit of technical stability. Irina Avvakumova has subscribed to fourth place: after that on the transalpine land a slightly more disappointing came in, since in the morning the Russian athlete had left the impression of being able to play equally with Ito, while in the race it was not a Decisive factor for success. In the fifth place there was a revitalized Ema Klinec who preceded an excellent Yuka Seto. Rogel Rog has confirmed what he had done in the opening week of the week, ranking seventh. A bit of regret for German veteran Juliana Seyfarth: third in the middle of the race has slipped to eighth place, the leitmotiv already seen at Courchevel. Reverse trend for Sarah Hendrickson: the US has gone from the thirteenth to the ninth final position. First career placement in top 10 for young Canadian Natasha Bodnarchuk (10th) who has proven to be a great reality in the circuit. Abigail Strate, the other girl in the Maple Leaf Country who had behaved well in France, instead suffered on Czech soil and was not even able to overcome the qualifying cut. The best Italian was again Manuela Malsiner 15 ^: the result could also be better, as in the first series, the nineteen-year-old gardenese got a performance under its current standards. Even Evelyn Insam managed to break into the spot area, placing 25th. The other two blue players, however, were unable to stay in the top 30: Lara Malsiner closed 31 ^, while Elena Runggaldier had 33 ^. In the general classification of the Summer Grand Prix Ito jumped to the lead with its 160 lengths, followed by Morat (125) and Althaus-Avvakumova (100). Currently Takanashi (80) is even sixth, preceded by Lundby (96).
