With the 'announcement of his retirement at a press conference today Thomas Morgenstern has put an end to a career with few equals in the history of ski jumping. Then we go to review what won in the last 12 years.

During his career, there are at least 4 horrible accidents.
- The first in Kuusamo, in November 2003, when he literally a somersault in the air and landed & ograve; violently on the back. He stayed out for a month, but on his return he was immediately on the podium.

& Egrave; difficult, if not impossible, to draw up a ranking of the most absolute & ugrave; great jumpers all-times. However one thing & egrave; certain: whatever parameter was taken into account, Thomas Morgenstern would be at least in the top 10 of all time.
