The sports world is mourning the death of Blue Nile Zandanel, Italu flag bearer at the Olympic Games in Cortina in 1956 and then the world record holder in ski jumping.

News & egrave; It was announced by the website of the FISI. Zandanel was born in Cibiana di Cadore, near Belluno, the 'November 8, 1937.
He wrote the history of the jump blue signing his first podium in the history of Italian Tourn & eacute; and 4 trampolines placing third in the race held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on New Year's Day 1961.
Also on Feb. 18, 1964 & Igrave settled; the world record in ski jumping, a feat never pi & ugrave; repeated by an Italian.
That day sull''Heini-Klopfer-Skiflugschanze Oberstdorf, landed Zandanel & ograve; 144 meters, surpassing two meters the record set three days earlier by Dalibor Motejlek and making the jump pi & ugrave; Long never seen until then.
The record Zandanel dur & ograve; until 21 March 1965 when the Kulm German dell''est Peter Lesser went to 145 meters.
