Norway's season of the men's jump started in the worst way.
Anders Fannemel, in fact, injured his left knee by falling in training at Wisla, on the eve of qualifying which will open the 2019 edition of the Summer Grand Prix on Friday, at this point already finished for Homindal's 28-year-old.
The former world record holder, as reported by head coach of the national team Alexander Stockl, "made a jump of 140 meters and lost both skis on landing. It was a bad fall. "
Fannemel was then transported to the Bielsko-Biala hospital, but further tests will be needed in Norway to find out if the feared injury to the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee will be effective and will require an operation, with relative long recovery times which would probably mean that the winter season has already ended even before it begins.
