First victory in individual top-level competitions for the twenty-seven of Lillehammer who preceded the countrymen Stjernen and Tande. For Norway it is the second hat-trick in the history of the World Cup.

In the first series the only one able to approach the HS point (240 m) was Andreas Stjernen who with an exceptional jump of 239 m has overtaken by 2.4 points Robert Johansson, arrived 232 m, but starting from a lower pole. Behind them was Daniel Andre Tande, about 7 points from second place and in front of Markus Eisenbichler 1.5 points.
