The 49-year-old former Austrian jumper, already a member of the Teutonic technical staff between 2006 and 2016, signed a contract until the 2021/22 season. Horngacher then takes the place of Werner Schuster, who left Germany's head coach after eleven two weeks ago, and will have the task of transporting the German team to the world championships at Oberstdorf 2021 and the Beijing Winter Olympic Games 2022.
Although rumors have been chasing each other for months now, the news in Poland has exploded like a time bomb. The Polish federation, after evaluating several candidates, opted for the continuity line, appointing the Czech Michal Dolezal, the assistant of Horngacher in the last few years, as the new head coach.
A Dolezal will therefore have the difficult task of keeping Stoch and his companions at the levels reached in recent seasons, in which Poland has become a leading nation in the world.
Looking for confirmation after a great winter, during which the talent of Killian Peier exploded and Simon Ammann returned to good levels, it is Switzerland, which today confirmed its collaboration with coach Ronny Hornschuh.
The market of technicians in the men's jump is in full swing, in the coming weeks we will see what the choices of the FISI will be.
