Two FIS Cup jumping competitions in Kranj, with Slovenia authentic star of the summer circuit appointment on the home springboard.
The men's squadron signed a hat-trick in the first round, with Anze Lanisek triumphing with the score of 285.7 points, overtaking Lovro Kos (270.5) and Rok Oblak (268.2). Two Italians in the top ten with the sixth place of Alex Insam (265.3 points) and Giovanni Bresadola (264.4), seventh. Francesco Cecon was also 14th among the top twenty, while Andrea Campregher finished in 50th place. The Slovenians occupy "only" the first two places in the women's race-1, thanks to the victory of Nika Kriznar in front of Nika Prevc. Third the Czech Karolina Indrackova, excellent sixth position for Jessica Malsiner, best of the blue, with her sister Lara 14th and Martina Ambrosi 34th.
Alex Insam did even better in race-2: the Val Gardena hoisted himself up to fourth place, on the day of success for Janni Reisenauer: the Austrian won with 261.4 points, bending the resistance of the two hosts Jernej Presecnik ( 259.4) and Rok Oblak (254.4). Insam finished less than 2 points from the podium (252.6 for the blue), in Italy a new top ten also for Giovanni Bresadola, seventh like the previous day, while Francesco Cecon closed 13th and Andrea Campregher 21st.
In the second women's race it was Nika Prevc who took revenge, ahead of Czech Klara Ulrichova by 9 points, with the other Slovenian Taja Bodlaj third. Lara Malsiner finished in 13th place, with Martina Ambrosi 28th, while Jessica Malsiner was disqualified.
