Roda's announcement: "No race for our athletes until 30 August". In the pits the blues of jump and roller ski

During the national consultation, the president of the FISI announced the precautionary measure, also valid for appointments abroad, to guarantee maximum safety for athletes. "We are confident that we can organize events from September."

An important announcement, the one that arrived today from the national council of FISI, with the Federal President Flavio Roda in a meeting (via video conference) with the Presidents of the Regional Committees, representatives of the Military Sports Groups and State Sports Corps, in addition to the members of the Council Federal and the College of Auditors. The decision concerns the athletes of the national teams, who will not be able to take part in competitions on the national territory and abroad, until next August 30th; in essence, it means that the blues of the roller ski will have to stay in the pits, who in the next month are planning the opening of a reduced World Cup, with the stages in Estonia and Latvia, and also those of the jump, with the first race of the men's Grand Prix scheduled in Wisla and the women's circuit in Frenstat, in the Czech Republic. In the federal note, it is added that "the objective is to ensure the performance of the activities of the national teams in total safety, recommending that all the Regional Committees maintain the utmost attention in the management of guidelines and provisions for carrying out the training. The Federation reserves the right to authorize the holding of events (such as the National Championships for the federal summer disciplines) starting from the month of September, provided that the health situation linked to the Covid-19 emergency in Italy allows it ". FISI that "will implement specific protocols for the organization and management of the events included in the federal calendars according to what will be the provisions of the various government bodies useful for ensuring their safe performance". Finally, on the federal membership, President Roda informed that the numbers to date are to be considered positive, considering that the new seasonality now scheduled for June 1st does not fall within a period specifically dedicated to the practice of winter sports and that the Federation has the validity of the coverage of the FISI card - for the 2019/2020 season - until next September 30th has been arranged.
