Lara Malsiner shines in Hinzenbach, third place and first career podium in the World Cup

The rising star of the Italian jump took the first podium on the international maximum circuit on the Normal Hill in Hinzenbach, finishing behind the Austrian Chiara Hoelzl and Eva Pinkelnig.

The mezzana of the Malsiner sisters, back from the best career result (6a yesterday again in Hinzenbach) and three top 10 in a row, today has further raised the bar. Fourth in the middle of the race, in the second series Lara did her best, landing at 87 m with moderate stylistic evaluations. This measure allowed her to gain a position, to the detriment of Maren Lundby, and to conquer the first career podium in the World Cup, the fifth in the history of the Italian women's jump. The day's victory went to the Austrian Chiara Hoelz, who replied to the victory obtained yesterday. On this occasion, the current leader of the overall World Cup standings preceded compatriot Eva Pinkelnig by 3.2 points. Two star players of the caliber of Sara Takanashi 4a and Maren Lundby 5a have remained dry-mouthed, both beaten by Lara Malsiner.
