Lara Malsiner and Francesco Cecon new Italian jumping champions, Costa and Sieff tricolors in Nordic combined

The absolute of the two disciplines were staged in Predazzo, with the entire blue team of the World Cup to test themselves.

Lara Malsiner and Francesco Cecon are the new absolute Italian ski jumping champions. At the "Centro del Salto Giuseppe Dal Ben" in Predazzo, with the tested direction of the local Dolomite Sports Union, the tricolor review on the HS 104 trampoline took place over the weekend, an event that saw the Italian team at the start in full force but also several foreign representatives, in particular German jumpers and American combinatists, who took advantage of the open formula to compete in a useful test-race in view of the next winter competitive season. In the men's jump the absolute title went to Francesco Cecon (Bachmann) from Friuli, able to place a first flight at 100 meters and a second jump at 94, performances that allowed him to finish with 230 points, 5 more than the policeman Alex Insam (94 and 95 meters his measurements) while on the third step of the podium he climbed the Trentino of the CS Army, Giovanni Bresadola (220.5 his final score with 95 and 92.5 meters). The junior title went, surprisingly, to a specialist in the Nordic combined, the financier Iacopo Bortolas from Fiemme (5th overall), in front of the ski Club Gardena color bearers Mattia Galiani and Daniel Moroder. The women's race saw the success of the South Tyrolean Lara Malsiner. The Gardena delle Fiamme Gialle, the spearhead of the Italian national team, won at the end of a very tight competition, having the better of the combinatist of the Fiamme Oro, Annika Sieff (winner of the junior title) and her sister Jessica Malsiner (Fiamme Gialle). With two excellent jumps from 91 and 97 meters, Lara finished with 218 points, 5.5 more than Sieff while Jessica stopped at 207.5. In the junior ranking, Annika Sieff stands out ahead of Jessica Malsiner and the very young Camilla Henni Comazzi (Bachmann), who won the bronze medal. In addition to the jump, on stage in Predazzo, always for the absolute and junior Italian Championships, also the Nordic combined. After having dominated the Alpen Cup in recent weeks, where he scored a fantastic poker of victories, Iacopo Bortolas of the Fiamme Gialle put everyone in line in the first part of the race, the one on the HS 104 springboard, where he excelled flying at 101 meters (absolute best measure of the day). Bortolas thus took off at the start of the roller ski gundersen over 10 km with an advantage of 46 ”over the policeman Samuel Costa. The man from Val Gardena was the protagonist of an exciting comeback, a golden ride that led him to cross the finish line alone, preceding the carabiniere Raffaele Buzzi by 29 "and the financier Alessandro Pittin by 32 (recovering from 7th place partial). Among the juniors, the title went to Stefano Radovan (Fiamme Gialle), in front of Club mate Iacopo Bortolas (who slipped to 5th place overall) and the US Dolomitica's Manuel Facchini from Fiemme. In the women's field the success, and the absolute national title, for the policewoman Annika Sieff, in the lead even after the jump segment, which preceded on the podium, at the end of the 5 km on roller skis, the color bearer of the CS Carabinieri Veronica Gianmoena (+ 0 "57) and the Alpine of CS Army Daniela Dejori (+ 2" 10 "). To Sieff also the junior title in front of Dejori and the young Greta Pinzani (Ski CAI Monte Lussari). The tricolor event was preceded, on Saturday, by the National Youth Under 16 jumping and Nordic combined competitions valid for the “Luigi Boninsegna Trophy”, the unforgettable leader-soul of the Dolomite Sports Union. The HS 66 ski jump, the flagship intermediate lift of the "Centro del Salto Giuseppe Dal Ben", and the sports field area in Fontanelle, were the setting for a splendid day of sport dedicated to girls and young people who represent the future of these two Nordic disciplines, always at home in the Fiemme Valley. In the women's jump, the Friulian of the CAI Monte Lussari Ski, Noelia Vuerich, dominated, thanks to two jumps of 63.5 and 60 meters and an overall score of 228.4 points. Behind him was classified Giada Delugan, of the U.S. Dolomitica (212.2), while Anna Senoner (209) from Val Gardena took the third step of the podium. The men's jump instead recorded the success of Maximilian Gartner (Ski Club Gardena), who flew at 63.5 and 61 meters and with a final score of 233.3 points. The South Tyrolean, born in 2007, beat the standard bearer of the G.S. Monte Giner, Jacopo Bigoni (228.7), and enfant du pay Bryan Venturini (U.S. Dolomitica), finished third by just 5 tenths of a point. However, the young man from Fiemme quickly redeemed himself in the Nordic combined race, dominated already starting from the jump segment and then finished victoriously on roller skis in front of Felix Mair (Sci Club Gardena) and the other standard bearer of the Dolomitica Manuel Boninsegna. The female Nordic combined test instead saw the comeback of the Friulian Ludovica Del Bianco (Ski CAI Monte Lussari), good at recovering from the third position of the jump to the highest step of the podium, on which she soared in front of Giada Delugan and Anna Senoner.
