Malysz new president of the Polish federation: the party and the invitation arrived from Val di Fiemme

The legends of the jump and the nomination as number 1 of the PZN. Bruno Felicetti, president of Fiemme Ski World Cup, congratulates Adam.

Adam Małysz is a legend in the world of Nordic skiing. In ski jumping, the Polish champion competed from 1995 to 2011 and is one of the most successful athletes in the history of this discipline. His achievements are countless, including 4 Olympic medals, 4 World Cup golds, 39 individual victories in the World Cup, 96 podiums. Most importantly, Malysz was the first male jumper to win three consecutive crystal balls, adding a fourth in 2007. He is also the winner of the Four Hills Tournament and the only three-time athlete to triumph in the Nordic Tournament. Adam Małysz is a well-rounded sportsman, he also participated in the Dakar Rally from 2012 to 2014. His link with Val di Fiemme is very strong, so much so that in 2008 the Municipality of Predazzo even awarded him honorary citizenship. In the 2003 world championship he won both world titles (Normal and Large Hill), but in Trentino he also won World Cup races and two Grand Prix races. On Sunday, the Polish sport icon was elected president of the Polish Ski Association (PZN), the Polish federation that she will lead for the next four years. Bruno Felicetti, president of Fiemme Ski World Cup, and Pietro De Godenz, president of the Ski Promotion Committee, sent congratulations to the new president Malysz. In the years after the abandonment of the competitive spirit, as director and coordinator of Nordic skiing, he often brought jumpers to Predazzo for training courses. On the match field he was seen in Val di Fiemme in January 2020, on the occasion of the World Cup, but also during the retreats of the Polish national team he always had cordial relations with the Fiemme managers. “The decision to run for the presidency of the Polish Ski Association has been one of the most difficult for me in recent years, perhaps even in my entire life. After many discussions with my family I decided that I would like to do more, the 'Polish Ski Association is a great institution, so I know that I now have many new responsibilities,' said the new president of the Polish federation. Felicetti and De Godenz have officially invited Adam Malysz to Val di Fiemme, it will be the occasion to honor the new appointment and celebrate the continuity of close relations with the Polish movement.
