Michael Hayb ck and Chiara H lzl triumphed at the Austrian national championships

HaybÃ¶ck has played in both of the Austrian national championships, both on Large Hill and Normal Hill. In the women's field the title went to Chiara HÃ¶lzl.

On Saturday, Bischofshofen was competing on the Large Hill, and a bit surprised was Michael HaybÃ¶ck. Behind him Gregor Schlierenzauer, in the middle of the race, but then overtaken by only 1.3 points in the decisive moment. The lowest step of the podium was occupied by Stefan Kraft, the author of an excellent second jump (140 m) that allowed him to replenish most of the disadvantage he had accumulated after the first fraction but not enough to impede the first two. Good fourth place for Daniel Huber who preceded Clemens Aigner and Manuel Poppinger. Some big players disappointed expectations, especially Manuel Fettner 10th, Markus Schiffner 11th and Andreas Kofler 15th. On the day today, however, the athletes have been challenged on Villach's Normal Hill. HaybÃ¶ck once again triumphed, thus getting an unexpected double after the difficulties encountered in the last stage of SGP, which makes moral in view of the World Cup. The turn opponent was Stefan Kraft. In the first jump both contestants went far beyond the HS point and in the middle of the race they were separated by only half a point. In the second fraction HaybÃ¶ck made the difference and the gap spread to 7.4 lengths. Second place for Kraft, third Fettner who had the best on Daniel Huber for a tenth. Another bad day for Kofler who closed 25th, did not jump precautionary Gregor Schlierenzauer. The women's competition also took place from the WCW 98 in Villach. At the end of two very fought series the title was won by Chiara HÃ¶lzl who overcame 3.4 lengths Jacqueline Seifriedsberger. On the other hand, Elisabeth Raudaschl was nearly 30 points away. They closed the top 5 Sophie Mair and Eva Pinkelnig. The leader of the movement Daniela Iraschko-Stolz was absent.
