It is the host Germany who conquered the world title in the mixed team event on the Oberstdorf springboard, with Katharina Althaus, Markus Eisenbichler, Anna Rupprecht and Karl Geiger to sign a feat against all odds. It was the vice world champion who closed the contest in the final duel with Granerud and Norway, who finished just 5.2 points from the Germans and with a bitter silver for the ruler of the season, together with Lundby, Opseth and Johansson.
The bronze went to Austria, who finished with a wide margin in front of a disappointing Slovenia, fourth, and to Japan.
Italy, as is known, was unable to take part in the competition as the Covid case exploded yesterday with the positivity of Jessica Malsiner advised the FISI to send the whole blue team home.
