This afternoon in Lillehammer opened the fifth edition of Raw Air, which this year will be staged in an abridged version. Good performance for the blue team that qualified two athletes for tomorrow's race. On the other hand, Francesco Cecon did not pass the cut.

The qualification was won by a home athlete: Johann Andre Forfang, who narrowly preceded Stefan Kraft, still brilliant after Lahti's excellent results, and an increasingly surprising Manuel Fettner. Kamil Stoch also did well, 4th at 6.6 points from the top, as did his compatriot Kubacki, 6th behind even the best of the Germans, Constantin Schmid.
Halvor Egner Granerud was 8th among the top four of the overall World Cup standings, while Kobayashi and Geiger were closely marked, 12th and 14th respectively and separated by only 6 tenths. All the best riders found themselves in the starting pole with unfavorable wind conditions, but Marius Lindvik, 38th but still qualified, paid the price.
Returning to the Azzurri, the best was Giovanni Bresadola, 28th with a jump of 127 m obtained with a headwind. Alex Insam made a positive performance 39th, while Francesco Cecon will not take part in tomorrow's race (first series starts at 16:00), who finished 55th.
