Nordic Skiingjunior world championships
In the morning on Normal Hill in Lahti, Finland, the women's title was awarded, clearly won by the Scandinavian and with a good performance by the youngest of the Malsiner sisters. In the late afternoon, the men's test took place, with Austria as the absolute protagonist and Italy in the rear.

Thea Minyan Bjoerseth dominated the race, putting on ice the gold medal in the first series, won by almost 18 points of margin over the Austrian Eder. In the second jump, the Norwegian class of 2003 then recorded the second score, finishing with over 20 points on the French Josephine Pagnier (2002), who won silver preceding the Slovenian Jerneja Brecl (2001) and Lisa Eder, who slipped at the foot of the podium. Good performance for Jessica Malsiner, 9a at the end after a comeback in the second series. Martina Ambrosi (36a) and the 2005 class Martina Zanitzer (39a) closed out of the top 30.

In the men there was an Austrian brace, with Niklas Bachlinger (2001) able to precede compatriot David Haagen (2002) by only 6 tenths. Both of them had already made at least one appearance in the World Cup this season and confirmed the golden moment of the red and white second and third lines, in great shape in the minor circuits. The bronze medal went to the Swiss Dominik Peter (2001), who prevented the Austrian hat-trick, relegating Daniel Tschofenig to the foot of the podium. Small disappointment in Italy: Davide Bresadola, from whom one could also expect an entry in the top 10, did not go beyond the 24th place, closing behind Daniel Moroder. 33rd instead Mattia Galiani.
