The Norwegian crashed badly in the training jump before the ski flight, staged this afternoon in Planica. Artificial coma has been induced at the moment but conditions are stable.

In the last test jump before the official competition, Daniel Andre Tande was the protagonist of one of the most terrible falls in the recent history of ski jumping. After exiting the tooth, in the first phase of flight, the Norwegian seems to find a wind gap and falls from a height of at least five meters, then sliding along the entire length of the springboard. From the images you can see how just before the impact with the ground you try to protect your head in your arms.
After boarding an unconscious ambulance and stabilizing Tande, he was then transported by helicopter to the hospital in Ljubljana. As communicated by the FIS, conditions are stable, but the boy is in an artificial coma. The first tests showed the broken collarbone. The next tests will be carried out tomorrow afternoon.
